Just when you thought you’d be hitting the pillow by bed time, Diplo announces a surprise performance on a weekday. The chart topping superstar is scheduled to take on Queen Street West’s upscale bar/living room hybrid Apartment 200. Just a regular ol’ Tuesday night, right?

The set comes as part of the festivities surrounding the American producer’s documentary screening at Hot Docs Ted Rogers . Airing tonight, Give Me Future follows the meteoric rise of Major Lazer. The film heavily draws from the band’s 2016 performance in Cuba, becoming one of the first major American acts to play in the communist state. Directed by music video mastermind Austin Peters, Give Me Future’s screening this evening will be hosted by Diplo himself.

“Capturing exhilarating performance footage and authentic stories highlighting the country’s cultural growth and desire for inclusion in the global community, director Austin Peters conjures a transcendent, rhythm-laced depiction of the powerful catalysts driving a country on the brink of change.”
