Toronto’s home of the afterparty is gone. The Hoxton’s empty hole on the horizon of King Street nightlife is a void that hasn’t yet been filled. Luckily, some of the bottled lighting from that notoriously raw and palpitating party space is being uncorked at a new home.
Maison Mercer welcomes back Up All Night, a returning club series that gets you out of the bottle service booth and onto the dance floor. Up All Night’s 4-show schedule is off to the races this weekend with Destructo (May 11th). The g-house DJ/producer (and HARD Events CEO/founder aka Gary Richards) brings a long legacy to the series’ kickoff, one that initiated in the early party planning rave days of LA. More importantly, this experienced show promoter is no stranger to The Hoxton, embracing is as a home away from home for nearly 6 years.
Party number two is brought to you by Pegboard Nerds (May 19th), a dubstep and aggressive rave rock duo that have been a major part of Monstercat’s triumphs as Canada’s top independent electronic music label. The bass continues on June 9th with Kill The Noise, a super aptly named producer that is no stranger to Toronto’s go-hard dubstep community. French DJ and record producer, Kungs wraps up this 4-parter on June 16th with his deep house rhythms that recently flowed from the speakers of Coachella. RSVP to each of these hot and heavy shows below. Return to those missing party roots and get messy all over again starting Friday.
