The Bloody Beetroots are swinging by Toronto on November 7th, this time utilizing the cavernous east end Opera House to showcase their full band. Although the troupe had taken a somewhat extended touring hiatus since their last romp through Toronto in May of 2013, group leader SBCR has been producing-up a storm in the studio. Mid-July, The Bloody Beetroots returned to rave-rock brilliance thanks to their single “My Name Is Thunder,” an unbridled electro track with a hair metal twist. Today’s tour declaration borrows its name from this track, a double feature that also includes “Saint Bass City Rockers.” With this, the team also announced an incoming fall LP via Last Gang Records. The label is a breeding ground for rock/electronic fusion acts and has been fundamental for the careers of Metric, Death From Above 1979, MSTRKRFT and Crystal Castles.
November 7’s first local appearance by The Bloody Beetroots in 4 years warrants some extra special fanfare. We’ll be operating a pre-sale for their Toronto tour date on Thursday August 3 at 10 am EST for just 24 hours. The pre-sale code is TRC (limit of 4 tickets per code).
