Drake doesn’t roll up to film premieres in just an Uber. Yesterday Toronto’s hip hop hero dropped by the TIFF screening of ‘The Carter Effect,’ a documentary presenting the life of basketball legend Vince Carter. Featured in the film himself as well, Drizzy made sure he traversed the red carpet in style, arriving in a motorcade of Cadillac Escalades. Unfortunately, this meant blocking in traffic, driving in the bike lane, and leaving vehicles high and dry in the middle of the intersection to do so.

“Security for TIFF apparently think they are the Police and can stop traffic so Drake’s motorcade of friends can drive together,” says a Tesla driver who caught it all on dashcam. “I didn’t want to be stuck in the middle of the intersection when it turned red and had right of way. Then the escalades drive in the Bike lanes and the security guard stands in front of my car to stop me so they can go around me and threatens to take my Tesla.” In the viral video shared to Youtube, the driver says he felt threatened when the obnoxious bodyguard detail exited their own vehicle to argue with him.
