Joel Zimmerman AKA deadmau5 dropped W:/2016ALBUM/ in December, an LP that didn’t land as well with fans as many expected. Now, the mau5trap label owner is set to release a collection of old material, spanning his career from 1998 to 2007. According to Reddit, the album is comprised of previously unreleased material remastered and repackaged throughout 20 tracks. Titled stuff i used to do, Deadmau5 announced a February 24th release earlier this year.

Deadmau5 also shared a six-minute minimix of the forthcoming material via mau5trap’s YouTube channel. Joel’s formative years merged tech house with electronica from time to time, paving the way well before his progressive house anthem days. Be warned, the below mix is certainly not the sound that casual mau5 listeners are used to.
