Toronto’s Hoxton nightclub received an impromptu after party lineup that could easily fit the bill of any festival main stage. Wrapping up another date on their Hi Def Youth Tour, Flosstradamus were all but confirmed to execute a 2nd show in one night, this time at the intimate Bathurst Street nightclub. The event place is the de-facto home of the AP in Ontario’s capital, often featuring extraordinary guest appearances over its 5 years of operation like a DVBBS/Adventure Club/Zeds Dead after a major local music festival. Trap heads had no idea what levels of bang for their buck they were in for on this night.
For roughly $20, attendees were treated to Toronto’s Thugli, headliners Flosstradamus and Slushii, a pretty magnificent surprise lineup already. Then things got interesting. While party hopping after their iHeartRadio concert at the Air Canada Centre, The Chainsmokers arrived in the building. Following this even greater revelation, the who’s who of Toronto electronic music producers jumped on stage with the already rammed VIP and DJ booth. Shaun Frank, Keys n Krates and Grandtheft added to the mix, erupting into a 12-DJ b2b set. This sounds like something only possible during Miami Music Week, right? Whoever experienced it in person, consider yourself very lucky. We’ve rounded up a bunch of snapshots from this DJ set of legendary proportions below.
