Rolling plains and fields of corn – the last thing you would picture when listening to the thumping electro and progressive beats created by Ontario’s deadmau5. With the start of his lots of shows in a row tour about a month from outset, the global electronic music mastermind has revealed the first of six behind-the-scenes videos with YouTube Music for Cube 2.1. The new video showcases deadmau5 and crew creatively developing his custom-built cube at TAIT in the middle of Amish Country, Pennsylvania.
Standing at 17 ft. tall, 20 ft. wide and 31 ft. deep, making it larger than its predecessors, Cube 2.1 features internal robots that push the sides of the LED panels up and around while projecting brand new graphics. The BTS video gives an HD glimpse of the mau5’s brand new headgear as well, an out-of-this-world droid-like creation that fits the theme of the high concept stage design. This impressive and jaw-dropping sight will leave you speechless, especially if you are lucky enough to catch one of its many tour dates throughout the spring.
On next month’s lots of shows in a row tour, deadmau5 is offering two limited VIP packages for fans at each show that include meet & greets, photos with the musician himself and a chance to watch his soundcheck in person. Go HERE for more information on what each of these packages offer.
