Wayhome Music & Arts is planning to turn some of the frowns illicited by North America’s worst music festival upside down. Today, the Ontario-based 3-day music event announced that those who are downtrodden by the reviled experience that was FYRE Festival can come to Wayhome free of charge. The well-documented disastrous “party” in Great Exuma will go down in history for allegations of lying, cheating, and swindling of ticket buyers. Wayhome on the other hand aims to put music first, steering clear of the necessity for Instagram models and posh millennial expectations.

“To those music fans affected by FYRE Festival, we would like to invite to you to WayHome Music & Arts, at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds in Oro-Medonte,” reads the official statement put out by Wayhome this afternoon. This is not the first time that promoter Republic Live has stepped in to assist music fans; ticket holders to the 2012 Capital Hoedown in Ottawa found themselves in a similar position when that festival was cancelled. At that time, Republic Live honoured fan’s tickets at its annual Boots and Hearts, Canada’s Largest Country Camping Music Festival. The biggest takeaway from all of this – Wayhome will indeed have a beach this year, but no pigs or fancy yachts.

“How to redeem: all 2017 Fyre Festival ticket holders can redeem their ticket for a 2017 WayHome General Admission Ticket by sending a copy of their unique confirmed FYRE Festival ticket to the following address; ticketing@republiclive.com. WayHome will keep this offer open until June 30 and will authenticate all requests. Tickets will be redeemed on a on a one for one basis and do not include camping, parking or VIP offers.”
